This was a custom design for a show adapted from Alice in Wonderland.  I designed the main characters' costumes.  The customer's request was that the red queen look beautiful and tattered. 

The request was for a costume emphasizing the dark quality of the performance.  Painting and Swarovski crystal embellishments were used to enhance the creepy quality of the character.
